Every year, meetings for people living with HIV and their families are held in cooperation with the self-help association aktHivplus e.V..

These meetings allow participants to connect with others who have had similar experiences. This creates a strong sense of community and understanding. Sharing personal experiences helps develop practical tips and strategies for coping with HIV in everyday life. In a safe space, participants can express their feelings and fears, which reduces stress and isolation and improves emotional well-being.

Furthermore, self-help groups strengthen the participants' self-determination by giving them the opportunity to better represent their own interests and advocate for their rights and needs. The support and exchange in these groups contribute to improving the participants' quality of life by helping them cope better with their diagnosis and lead more fulfilling lives.

The current dates are available here.

The project is supported by the GKV-Gemeinschaftsförderung Baden-Württemberg.
